As the daughter of an attorney, the law has always held an allure for Michele Cybulski. After a successful career in leadership development, she made the move to join her father’s profession, joining the inaugural class of the Elon University School of Law in August 2006. Michele discovered her niche in law school, and has committed herself to being an advocate for injured people.
While in law school, Michele worked as a part-time legal researcher and summer associate at the Deuterman Law Group, assisting on workers’ compensation, Social Security disability and personal injury cases. At the Deuterman Law Group, she will focus her practice on personal injury cases, which includes auto, truck and motorcycle accidents.
As part of the inaugural class of Elon Law, Michele considers herself fortunate to have played a role in building a school from the ground up. Michele was very active in that process, collaborating with students and administrators to help shape key groups and institutions at the school.
Her classmates elected Michele to serve on the law school’s Honor Council which oversees the administration of Elon’s Academic Honor Code. She also was a founding member of the Elon Law School Women’s Law Association.
Though newly minted as an attorney, Michele had a distinguished career in business prior to changing professions. She spent 10 years with the world renowned Center for Creative Leadership, a leader in executive education, leadership development and research. Michele, a graduate of Appalachian State University, earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from UNCG while working for CCL.
She earned her juris doctorate from the Elon University School of Law in 2009, and later the same year was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar. She is member of North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA), the Greensboro Bar Association (GBA) and the National Organizations of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR).
Michele has two children, and she lives in Greensboro.
