Dawne and Dan Deuterman Scholarship
As you probably can tell, education is very important to us here at The Deuterman Law Group. We owe our own success to the educational opportunities that we've enjoyed in life, and we think every student deserves the same chance. That's the motivation for much of our community volunteer work and our charitable contributions.
In 2006, we endowed the The Daniel Lyndon and Dawne Talbert Deuterman Scholarship to benefit students attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law.
Beginning in 2007, the scholarship will be awarded annually to a student ranked in the top third of his or her college class, who demonstrates financial need and leadership abilities through college involvement and extracurricular activities. Preference will be given to students from Guilford County.
In addition to these two scholarship programs, we've found other ways to be involved in the community, both personally and as a business.
March of Dimes
The Deuterman Law Group is a very family-oriented firm, and supporting the March of Dimes has been a great way for us to give back to the community.
But we have a very personal connection to this wonderful organization. Dan Deuterman's son Jake weighed just two pounds when he was born. And thanks to the services and resources of March of Dimes, he quickly gainedm weight and strength.
Today, Jake is a healthy young man who, along with Dan and Dawne, genuinely appreciates the extra helping of care that the March of Dimes provided when he needed it most.
