Deuterman Law Group starts online blog

(Greensboro, N.C., July 10, 2006) – The Deuterman Law Group, a Greensboro firm specializing in workers’ compensation and Social Security disability cases, has launched a blog about workers’ compensation law and reform in North Carolina.

The North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Law Blog, online at wc.deutermanlaw.com, is meant to be a resource for the general public, clients and attorneys interested in learning more about the topic.

“During my years of practice in this field, it’s become clear to me that people have a lot of questions about workers’ compensation and how the state’s laws apply to them,” Dan Deuterman said. “Through an interactive blog, we’re able to answer many of those questions and engage in dialogue about the topic with workers and other attorneys in the field.”

In addition, he said, workers’ compensation is very topical right now, as North Carolina lawmakers debate changes to the state’s Workers’ Compensation Act. “We feel it’s our duty at Deuterman Law Group to help educate North Carolina residents about what these proposed changes could mean for injured workers,” he said. “We want to give ordinary people an outlet to discuss this topic and to share their concerns.”

Deuterman, as well as attorney Joel Davis and the firm’s marketing director Grace Kanoy, are posting regularly to the blog and will be responding to questions and comments left there.

“With the imminent changes in workers’ compensation law in North Carolina, we are committed to keeping the issue in the forefront and maintaining a dialogue with our blog readers,” Kanoy said.

The North Carolina Workers’ Compensation Law Blog includes specific sections for clients and attorneys. Blog postings will focus on a variety of topics, including workers’ compensation reform, resources for injured workers, best practices for attorneys, ethics and news. The blog will also occasionally include entries about Social Security disability benefits and cases.
