Second Harvest Food Bank distributes food to more than 400 nonprofit partner agencies that provide some 680 programs (emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, halfway houses, domestic violence shelters, group homes, low-income daycare centers, Meals-On-Wheels, Kids Cafes, and congregate feeding programs for seniors and children)in 18 counties.
NC is among the top 10 states with the highest percentage of families who are at risk of hunger.
